@keepitacrime Have you checked out the Wonderland clip? It’s out of sync but if you watch you might see what he’s doing well enough,… I don’t know your skill level. I’ve been meaning to learn this one but don’t have access to a keyboard at the mo. His keyboard riffs have such involved stuff they never come across right on guitar and vice-versa.
Warren liked to write about history. Put it to a classical rock piece. A brilliant mind. Also an accomplished musician. Studied under Igor Stravinski at 13, with Robert Craft. I can’t say enough about Zevons’ skills as a lyricist. And his voice, wit, and sarcastic darkness I hope someday truly will be appreciated.
There are three different versions on the “Warren Zevon” 2CD album, and one on “Stand in the fire”. This one is not featured on either, so that makes for at least five different recordings.
thank you so much you did a wonderful job with this when i think of some of warrens lyrics like I’m drinking heart break motor oil and Bombay gin I’LL SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD and then to write something so profound as SEARCHING FOR A HEART I’ve seen a lot people perform however HE IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE TOPS WITH ME RIP WARREN AGAIN THANK YOU

I can’t say it enough: Warren Zevon was no mere Lyricist, he was a novelist……..
