YOu are an idiot. Lee went with his State. At the time, the issue of a State leaving the Union was not decided. Lee also made many efforts to help heal the divide the nation. He ordered his men to lay down their arms instead of launching a guerilla campaign. He spoke about the need for everyone to get past the war and be good citizens. Lee, rather than working out his beef with the government peaceably, he resorted to violence. That isn’t noble or heroic, it’s simply barbaric. This is a nation that follows the rule of laws, it’s will isn’t dictated by who’s willing to draw the sword first. As American’s we work together to solve our problems, not suceed when things don’t go our way. This nation is held together my our strength as a people. That someone was willing to tear that asunder deserves no honor, nor praise.
